The CCOS installer is signed through Microsoft Artifact Signing and identifies the verified publisher as Casey Hill. The signature lets Windows detect any modification made after the installer was signed.
SmartScreen reputation is evaluated separately and may still ask for confirmation while a new signed release builds reputation. Confirm the publisher before continuing, and never disable Windows security.

| Does video work? | Yes — YouTube, Twitch, Rumble, Kick and ordinary web video all play normally. The one gap: subscription services that use Widevine DRM (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video) won't play, because the underlying Windows runtime doesn't ship Widevine. Worth knowing if those are part of your daily routine. |
